More Air Duct Cleaning…
What is air duct cleaning? Well briefly, air duct cleaning refers to the cleaning of various cooling and heating components of forced air systems, including the supply and return air ducts and registers, heat exchangers heating and cooling coils, fan motor and fan housing, grilles and diffusers, condensate drain pans, etc.
If not maintained adequately, debris and dust will build up on these systems. This alone can be dangerous but if damp also enters the system it can act as a breeding ground for spores and bacteria. Typically a qualified air duct cleaner will use specialist tools to achieve their job, cleaning and dislodging dirt, dust, debris and oil then finally vacuuming the systems until clean.
This can include applying chemicals or other extremely strong industrial products that will kill all bacteria present and return the ducts to an almost new status. Sometimes a controversial way to remove bacteria to the move conventional way of dislodging dirt and removing with a specialist vacuum. We look at both processes on the website and discuss the pros and cons.
